General Practitioner and RCGP Medical Director for e-Learning |
Biography
Dr Ben Riley is a NHS General Practitioner in rural Oxfordshire. As Medical Director of Curriculum at the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), he is responsible for the development of the GP curriculum, the educational framework for GP specialty training and career-long development. Ben is also the Clinical Lead for the College’s bid to enhance and extend GP training, a member of the Postgraduate Training and Professional Development Boards and the Chair of the Curriculum Development Committee.
In his former role as Medical Director for e-Learning, Ben led the production of high quality courses for GP training and continuing professional development at the RCGP, as well as establishing the College’s Online Learning Environment. He is also the Clinical Lead for the e-GP programme, which has published over 250 e-learning sessions on a broad range of primary care topics, and the lead author of The Condensed Curriculum Guide.
