Myeloma is a malignant neoplasm of plasma cells which tends to present later in life and is becoming more common as the population ages. The incidence has increased by 17% over the last decade and the increase is forecast to continue. This five minute screencast gives you the essential information about when to suspect myeloma, both in patients with symptoms and those who have suspicious blood tests found incidentally. It also discusses the early stage of MGUS and how to monitor patients with this asymptomatic condition.
