Liver disease is an increasingly common cause of death in the UK, with many pathologies related to reversible risk factors such as obesity and alcohol. This toolkit contains five NUBs, designed to summaries important topics in one page. They cover hepatitis B and C, alcohol and cirrhosis, the management of abnormal liver function tests and metabolic dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) - the new name for non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. The NUBs contain links to useful tools for healthcare professionals and patients, as does the resources section, which also has some ideas for quality improvement projects in this area.
