Image of Tardive Dyskinesia affecting mouth and hands

Movement disorders are a known side-effect of antipsychotic medication, but we are often not as mindful of them as other adverse effects, such as cardiovascular risk. This module offers a 20-minute podcast on the adverse effects of antipsychotic medication, with a focus on movement disorders and strategies to detect them in routine practice. The 5-minute screencast looks specifically at tardive dyskinesia, discussing how it is a drug-induced movement disorder rather than a side effect, who is at greatest risk, and what we should do when we identify it as a possibility.
