Smoking cessation is a cost-effective way of improving health; the provision of behavioural support and pharmacotherapy greatly improves quit rates compared to willpower or nicotine replacement bought over-the-counter. This module aims to inform members of the primary care team about the basics of smoking cessation and will be useful for those who prescribe in conjunction with outsourced smoking cessation services and those who provide full smoking cessation services within their practice.
