Mental health and suicide prevention

This module is one of a suite of courses looking at the health, wellbeing and service provision issues for patients who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT). This group has specific needs and evidence shows that these are often not adequately met. By completing this module, you should have an awareness of the nature and prevalence of mental health issues in the LGBT population, the specific needs they have and how you may facilitate earlier help in order to achieve better outcomes.
