Man holding hands on his head

Migraine and cluster headaches are exceptionally painful conditions which can significantly affect quality of life. The symptoms of migraine with aura can additionally sometimes be confused with the symptoms of a vascular event. This course discussed the recognition, diagnosis and management of cluster headaches, as well as how to differentiate migraine with aura from a TIA, and the situations in which this may not be clinically possible and it is sensible to err on the side of caution and refer. A screencast also gives information on new migraine drugs which you may see being started in secondary care, to be continued by the GP.
