This is a recording of a live conference that took place on 25 October 2024. This recording will be available to view until 11 August 2025.

GPs have a role in recognising, monitoring, coordinating and reviewing patients with difficulties in communication, relationships, and managing their own affairs. Neurodiversity is far more common than most people realise, and it is estimated that around 1 in 7 people (more than 15% of people in the UK) are neurodivergent. Our aim is to share with you the challenges the neurodiverse population face in the neurotypical world. Health outcomes and access to health remain a challenge and we hope to show you some easy ways to help in the general practice setting.

Topics:

  • Understanding autism
  • How to manage ND in a 10 minute GP consultation
  • Connections between neurodiversity and hypermobility syndromes
  • Somatic Comorbidity in ADHD: A primary care snapshot & brief literature review

  • Overlaps between ND conditions
  • Setting up a GPwER in ADHD
