In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the RCGP and the BMA’s GP committee has prepared joint guidance to help practices across the UK to prioritise the clinical and non-clinical workload in general practice.

This document from the RCGP and BMA outlines types of work that should be undertaken in primary care, depending on COVID-19 prevalence.

Business continuity is a key part of how we deliver safe care for patients and all practices should have plans to deal with unexpected events, including infection and pandemics. GPs and practices together with NHS England Northeast produced this exemplar document which meets current NHS England Emergency Planning Resilience and Response requirements. The Business Continuity Plan can be customised for practice use by considering all the items marked in Red.
