These are materials from half-day conference of the Mastering headache consultations that took place on 15 September 2025. This presentation will be available to view until 15 March 2026.

This webinar will equip GPs with the knowledge and tools to confidently diagnose different headache conditions, recognise red flags that warrant further investigation, and support patients through holistic management strategies. It will also provide an update on the latest treatment options, including emerging therapies like anti-CGRP medications and cover when to refer for specialist care. This is a live event and it will not be recorded. 


Topics Include:                

  • Understanding the different types of primary headache and how to confidently diagnose each.
  • Identifying red flags: secondary headaches. When are further exploratory tests are needed? 
  • Helping patients identify triggers and manage acute migraine effectively to reduce the impact of headache.
  • The latest on treatment options for primary headache types, including anti-CGRP injections and procedures and developing management pathways to support referral management
