Improving quality is about making healthcare safer, effective, patient-centred, timely, efficient and equitable. This course will describe some of the theory behind quality improvement activities and outline some quality improvement activities (QIA) that can be used in primary care. Case studies will be used to illustrate the principles. Quality improvement and patient safety are inextricably linked – after doing this course, users may find it also useful to view the RCGP patient safety toolkit, which can be access via the resources section of both QI modules.

Production, editorial, and distribution owned by the Royal College of General Practitioners.
