Allergy Hub
Atopic/allergic conditions are commonly seen in primary care – the allergy hub provides education on eczema, asthma, allergic rhinitis and food allergy, including allergy to peanuts. A four-module eLearning course uses a case-based approach to give an overview of the different allergic conditions, how to investigate appropriately and rationally, how to treat in primary care and when to refer. A series of podcasts covers different aspects of allergy, including pollen food syndrome (also known as oral allergy syndrome), IgE mediated versus non-IgE mediated allergy, and the one airway theory that links asthma and allergic rhinitis. For those who are short of time, a series of five-minute podcasts give a quick update on specific aspects of allergy.
