Cardio-Renal-Metabolism Hub
This suite of courses looks at the cardiological, renal and metabolic systems and how they are interrelated in the cardio-renal metabolic syndrome (CRM). Primary care delivers the majority of reviews of long-term conditions, such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes, but also has a key role in their diagnosis and optimisation. The CRM hub brings a primary care perspective to the latest guidance which promotes personalised targets and demonstrate a move from a glucocentric approach to one which looks at the broader picture of cardio-renal risk reduction.
Learning resources are also available on CKD and heart failure; of particular interest may be the podcast on heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) – a relatively newly described condition where evidence for best practice is still evolving.
